The trail: This 1,409 hectare park is located in the northern Mt Lofty Ranges.  The park provides a wide range of facilities including a kiosk, information centre, gas barbecues, picnic tables, playgrounds, toilets, parking areas, tennis courts, ovals for cricket or football and trails ranging from 800 metres to 7.5 kilometres in length.

The trail: Kuitpo Forest is situated in the South Mount Lofty Ranges, 45 minutes drive from Adelaide, near the township of Meadows.  From Adelaide you can take the Main South Road, then turn off to Clarendon and Meadows, or take the South Eastern Freeway to Hahndorf, then turn off to Echunga and Meadows.  Visitors are advised to contact the Kuitpo forest office to check local up to date information before they visit the forest.

Mount Crawford Forest

The trail:  Mount Crawford Forest is situated in the Northern Mount Lofty Ranges, 1 hours drive from Adelaide, about 7 kilometres from Williamstown.  From Adelaide you can take the North East Road to Gumeracha, then turn off to Williamstown.  Visitors are advised to contact the Mount Crawford forest office to check local up to date information before they visit the forest.

Kidman Trail

The trail:  The first section, Willunga to Echunga, was opened in early 2005.  Ultimately the 200km (5-7 days) of sustainable, safe and scenic trail will connect McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu Peninsula to the Barossa Valley.  The trail will highlight the natural beauty, cultural history and major points of interest along the Mount Lofty Ranges. It will utilise existing tracks and trails through Forest Reserves and other accessible public land, quiet roads and unmade road reserves with trail markers indicating the route.  The trail does not have to be ridden in its entirety; it can be ridden is sections and loops.  Permits are required for the sections  passing through ForestSA land.

Tom Roberts Horse Trail (Belair National Park)

The trail:
   The Tom Roberts Trail extends up to 20 km within Belair National Park and finishes in Kuitpo Forest. Using the trails marked with the Tom Roberts (see brochure) trail markers, riders can traverse the park in short or longer loops and experience the changing vegetation, see many varieties of birdlife and wildlflowers, and enjoy scenic views.
